1. School Commitment

Adarsh English Medium School is committed to creating a secure, nurturing, and positive learning environment. We firmly believe that children learn best when they feel safe and respected. Our comprehensive child protection policy adheres to all national guidelines, including the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act framework.

2. Anti-Bullying Policy

Zero Tolerance for Bullying

We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, including physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. Any student found engaging in bullying will face severe disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion.

We conduct regular awareness workshops for students to recognize bullying, stand up for their peers, and report incidents without fear of retaliation.

3. Child Protection Measures

  • Staff Training: All staff undergo mandatory child protection and safeguarding training annually.
  • Background Checks: Rigorous police verification is mandatory for all teaching and support staff.
  • Supervision: Students are supervised at all times during school hours, including transition periods, recess, and dispersal.
  • Restricted Areas: Certain areas of the campus are strictly out of bounds for students without teacher supervision.

4. Staff & Parent Responsibilities

Staff Responsibilities: Teachers are trained to look out for signs of distress, behavioral changes, or physical signs of abuse in children. They are mandated reporters who must immediately notify the Child Protection Committee of any suspicions.

Parent Responsibilities:We request parents to monitor their child's behavior at home, ensure safe usage of the internet, and maintain open communication with the class teacher regarding any emotional or physical concerns.

5. Campus Security & CCTV Usage

CCTV Surveillance

The entire campus, including corridors, playgrounds, and gates, is monitored 24/7. Footage is securely stored and accessed only by authorized personnel.

Visitor Policy

All visitors must sign in at the security gate, present a valid government ID, and wear a visitor badge while on campus.

6. Digital Safety

While the school provides high-speed internet for educational purposes, our network is protected by enterprise-grade firewalls. Access to social media, gaming, and inappropriate content is strictly blocked on the school network. Students are educated on digital footprint, cyberbullying, and internet safety.

7. Emergency Procedures

The school has clearly defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various emergencies:

  • Medical Emergencies: A fully equipped medical room with a trained nurse is available on campus. We have tie-ups with the nearest multi-specialty hospital for immediate ambulance support.
  • Evacuation Drills: Fire and earthquake evacuation drills are conducted quarterly to ensure all students and staff know the safe assembly points.
  • Transport Safety: All school buses are equipped with GPS tracking, speed governors, first aid kits, and a female attendant.

8. Reporting Concerns

If you have any concerns regarding a child's safety or wish to report a violation of this policy, please contact our Child Protection Officer immediately at info@adarshenglishmediumschool.com. All reports are handled with the utmost confidentiality.
