Admission Policy
A transparent, fair, and comprehensive guide to joining the Adarsh English Medium School community.
1. Admission Philosophy
At Adarsh English Medium School, we believe in inclusive education. Our admission policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds and aim to identify learners who will benefit most from our holistic, student-centric educational environment.
2. Eligibility & Age Criteria
Admissions are granted strictly on the basis of age criteria and seat availability. The age is calculated as of March 31st of the academic session for which admission is sought.
| Class | Minimum Age | Maximum Age |
|---|---|---|
| Nursery | 3 Years | 4 Years |
| LKG | 4 Years | 5 Years |
| UKG | 5 Years | 6 Years |
| Class 1 | 6 Years | 7 Years |
* Age criteria for higher classes scale accordingly. No relaxation is provided in the minimum age criteria as per government mandates.
3. Admission Process
4. Required Documents
Parents must submit self-attested photocopies of the following documents at the time of enrollment. Original documents must be produced for verification.
5. Entrance Assessment & Interview
For Pre-Primary classes (Nursery to UKG), admission is based on a casual observation/interaction session with the child and parents to understand the child's readiness for school.
For Class 1 and above, a written assessment is conducted in English, Mathematics, and Science (for senior classes) to gauge the applicant's academic proficiency. This is followed by an interaction with the Principal.
6. Admission Confirmation & Fee Payment
Once admission is offered, parents must complete the enrollment formalities within 5 working days. This includes the submission of all pending documents and payment of the Admission Fee, Caution Money (if applicable), and the first quarter's tuition fee. Failure to do so will result in the seat being passed to the next candidate on the waiting list.
7. Waiting List
In classes where sections are full, successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list. Waitlisted candidates will be contacted immediately if a vacancy arises due to cancellations or transfers.
8. Transfer Students
Students transferring from unrecognized schools must submit a countersigned Transfer Certificate from the District Education Officer. Interstate transfers require a TC countersigned by the respective educational board authorities.
9. School Rights
The School Management reserves the right to:
- Reject any application without assigning a reason.
- Cancel the admission if any information or document provided by the parent is found to be false, fabricated, or misleading at any stage.
- Modify the admission criteria or fee structure for upcoming academic sessions in accordance with government regulations.
